Everyone has heard the legendary stories about going to Ibiza with £1000 and spending it all in one week!  Don't get me wrong, you could easily do that in Ibiza! But if you have the slightest bit of sense you will not need anything like that!      

    I went for two weeks on June the 23rd last year and took just over £400.  I would definitely recommend more than that but I had a great time and my money lasted.  If you are planning to go to the big clubs every night then you would need a lot more.  We went to the big clubs occasionally but the atmosphere of San Antonio's West End is far better than any club!!  This year I plan to take nearer £600. 

The currency in Ibiza is the Spanish Peseta. With the pound being strong at the moment you will get a great exchange rate, which is a blessing as things out there don't come cheap.

 Club entrance prices are about 5000pts (£20) and drinks in clubs are about 800-1000pts (£3.50-£4). A main course meal will cost about 1500pts and a drink in a bar 200pts (for a fizzy drink or beer).

There are plenty of places to exchange money in Ibiza, but be warned, U will not be able to use a credit card to get Pesetas from these exchanges, you can only exchange cash and travellers cheques for cash. Cash machines can be found in San Antonio and Ibiza Town, both of which accept all major debit and credit cards.  And they are easy to understand.

TIP: Get fliers for clubs as these give great reductions and could save u a lot of money over the course of your holiday.

TIP: Get travellers cheques in Sterling pounds as you get a better exchange rate in Ibiza compared to the  exchange rate in Britain.

TIP: There are no cash machines near Privilege, Amnesia or Space so if you are heading towards these make sure you have enough money on you.
